The Chow Chow Kennel Castelbarbara was founded from the black male Chow Champion Sherivale Roman Emperor, born in England in 1986 and brought to Italy with the advice and knowledge of care of the chow chow shared from his breeder Mrs. Iris Bowker. He became Champion of many countries. Then I brought a red female chow, Baytor Pretty Maiden, from her breeder the late Mrs. Anita Westlake who shared her great knowledge of breeding the Chow Chow. Emperor and Maiden then produced the red female chow, Champion Castelbarbara Her Majesty. I returned to England to bring the red female chow Champion Sherivale Emperess Carlotta, and with Emperor produced black male chow Champion Castelbarbara The Diplomat, red female chow Champion Castelbarbara Princess Diane and red female chow Champion Castelbarbara Lady in Red thus making Emperor and Empress reproduction Champions. Emperor was mated to my very first chow of English lines but acquired in Italy,this produced a black female chow Champion Black Beauty, who I took to France to mate to World Champion, a blue Chow, Oes Ming Chy- Nees, producing black male chow Champion Castelbarbara Riding High Duke and black female chow Champion Castelbarbara Flying Duchess. For a different line from England I brought a fawn female chow, Champion Mitsagi Cinnamon Queen her breeder the late Otto Magitis was a good adviser , Queen bred to Emperor gave me a black male chow Castelbarbara The Ambassador and later came red male chow Champion Mitsagi Zandino.
